The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released a number of new publications and videos during the organisation’s 16th Annual Conference which is being held in Beijing, China. All publications will be made available through this website after the conference.
The new publications include:
2012 Annual Review
The Annual Review provides an overview of ISSF’s activities for the past year. Highlights include a revamp of ISSF’s websites, the 100 Years of Stainless Steel exhibition, and the updated Life Cycle Inventory (LCI). The Annual Review also includes a summary of ISSF statistics and details of the organisation’s 2011 Production Safety survey.
Stainless Steel in Figures 2012
For the first time, ISSF has published a range of statistics about the world stainless steel industry. Stainless Steel in Figures is divided into three sections:
1. History and Competition
2. Actual performance
The information in the publication has been gathered by ISSF’s Economics and Statistics Department and shows how stainless steel has developed in a global context. ISSF intends to update the publication each year.
Stainless Steel in Tunnels
Stainless steel is finding increasing use in tunnels for its fire and corrosion resistance properties and long maintenance-free life. This new animation in the Sustainable Stainless series provides detailed case studies which demonstrate why stainless steel is becoming the material of choice in road, rail, metro and long sub-sea tunnels.
