New structure for the Nickel Institute
The Nickel Institute is being restructured in response to increasing legislation restricting the use of nickel and its compounds, and to enable the industry to weather current global economic conditions.
3rd Stainless Steel Symposium
The Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées of Stresa, on the Lake Maggiore, will be the charming setting of the “3rd International Stainless Steel Symposium” organized by Focus Rostfrei and Stainless Steel Focus, in cooperation with Centro Inox. The conference programme is now available.

Growing international demand for sustainable construction has made 50 or even 100-year service life requirements increasingly common. Much of the world’s population lives in corrosive locations and common construction materials cannot meet these long-life requirements.
INSG MEETINGS
The next meetings of the International Nickel Study Group will take place at the INSG Headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal from 5 to 7 October 2009.
A Joint Study Groups’ Seminar “Post-crisis metals: What will be different?” will be held at the Altis Hotel from 2.00pm to 5.30pm on Wednesday 7 October.
