The project is a premiere when you consider the stainless steel grades employed. A large proportion of the handrails is made from stainless steel grade 1.4521. Despite the location in a coastal region, the 1.4521 material was chosen instead of 1.4404 – in particular because it led to a major cost saving with comparable corrosion protection.
