International Stainless Steel Course Now Available In Korean

The course, offered globally by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), is a 16-module program covering all aspects of stainless steel.  Its focus is to improve the knowledge of all individuals and companies who work with stainless steel.

“Increasing knowledge across all levels of staff ultimately improves productivity for companies and minimises errors,” ISSF Secretary General Dr Staffan Malm said.

Following agreement with the Korean Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), six of the modules available via e-learning were translated into Korean, enabling students to complete an intermediate certificate in their local language.

The e-learning approach offers interactive flash presentations with images, animations and video, almost halving the time of study compared with the more traditional methods of study.

“The e-learning delivery method makes the learning rich, fast and exciting,” says Dr Malm.

Mr Sung Joon Pak from KOSA expressed his delight in the arrangement between both organisations, and the ability for students to enhance their knowledge in the material.

“What is stainless steel? Well, it certainly isn't carbon steel,” he says.  “You'll learn everything you need to know about stainless steel via the Korean e-learning course. You will enjoy perfect understanding and brilliant flash versions.”

Further modules available in Korean will be released in the near future as development continues.
